We offer several payment and finance options for our customers to choose from. Have a look at the information below to find out which one is best for you. Generally, if you are purchasing less than $1,000 then AfterPay and LayBuy are great options. If you are purchasing between $1,000-$10,000 then Q MasterCard is the way to go.

12 Months Interest-Free with Q Card
Buy now, pay later with Q MasterCard on purchases up to $10,000. Pay for your order over 12 months interest-free with regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments. This will work if you have an existing Q Card or any of these cards shown above.
Pros of Q MasterCard:
- 12 months interest-free
- Great for big purchases of up to $10,000
- Very easy to sign up
- Pay whenever suits you: there’s a minimum monthly payment, and you can choose from weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments
- Simple to use and available across 1000s of retailers
- Effectively works like a credit card you can use it anywhere that takes Mastercard but do note you will be charged interest unless a retailer offers a special deal.
Cons of Q Mastercard:
- You will be charged interest if you do not repay the outstanding balance before the 12 months of interest-free period expires
- You need to personally manage your repayments; it’s not all automated like Laybuy and Afterpay
- There is a small fee to sign up and create an account

- Must have NZ Passport or Drivers Licence ID available
- Must be a NZ resident to set up and account here
- Must have a mobile phone and email address
Using with Underground:
- In-store: Bring in your Q card or sign up for an account with our help in-store
- Online: When checking out select “Bank Deposit” and we will contact you to sort the Q MasterCard payment so you can make an interest-free purchase. Do NOT select ‘Q Card’ (as shown in the image below).

Buy now and pay later with AfterPay on purchases of up to $2,000. Pay for your order in four equal payments every two weeks, with the first payment made when you complete your purchase. The payments are automated for your convenience.
How AfterPay works
How much you can spend using AfterPay depends on your credit limit. If you are new to AfterPay, your account will start with a limit of $500.
If you have a credit limit of $800, for example, and you make a purchase for $1000, then your first payment will the difference between the purchase total and your credit limit (which is in this case $200) plus your first instalment which is $200 ($800 / four payments) so you would pay $400 now and then $200 for the next three fortnights. Your credit limit will increase over time as your repayment history becomes more trusted and established. The maximum your credit limit can reach is $2000, but this may take several months of spending.
Pros of AfterPay:
- No fees or account charges (as long as your repayments are on time)
- Hassle-free as payments are automatically deducted from your account
- Simple to use and available across 1000s of retailers
Cons of AfterPay:
- It is difficult to change payment schedules
- Your spending is limited by your pre-approved credit limit,
- If the amount you want to spend is more than your credit limit you will have to pay more than the advertised weekly payment in your first payment

- Must have NZ Passport or Drivers Licence ID available
- Must be a NZ resident to set up an account here
- Must have a mobile phone and email address
Using with Underground:
- In-store: Download the app to your mobile phone. Create a barcode and show this at our counter, and we can process it for you.
- Online: Select the AfterPay option when you check out. You will be directed to the AfterPay site to sign up before finalizing your purchase.
